CoMix Wave Films and Chinese animation industry leader Haoliners will co-produce an original animation, "Flavors of Youth" to be released in summer 2018!

Director Li Haoling of Haoliners, who fell in love with Director Shinkai's work after seeing Five Centimeters Per Second almost ten years ago, made a passionate pitch to CWF to make this project a reality.

Li Haoling will serve as executive director for the piece. He will be joined by live-action director Yi Xiaoxing who will be making his first foray into animation; and Yoshitaka Takeuchi, Makoto Shinkai's long-time CG chief, making his first try at directing.

The product will be an anthology featuring three short tales of youth, told expertly by these three young Chinese and Japanese talents.

In time with this announcement, we're holding a soft opening for the official webpage. In the future, we'll be introducing the anthology as well as sharing comments from the directors, staff and cast information, and more.
